This week I am going to blog about one of my favourite places to go for tea and cakes. Sally Lunns is one of the oldest houses in Bath and I am so glad I got to visit this tea house many years ago. I remember how bustling the place always is and the queues to get in.

The house is very cute, traditional and in keeping with its era and has many small and narrow corridors leading to little rooms and nooks where people can sit and enjoy a nice cup of tea and cakes.

I had to have the famous Sally Lunn Bunn and it is stunning. I loved the cinnamon butter! I wish I could have taken buckets home during lockdown and smother it across my toast. If you haven’t had this I would highly recommend trying it. The Bunns were huge! We also had a selection of scones but nothing can beat the taste of the Bunn.

If you are ever in Bath I would recommend visiting this tea house. Not just for the scones and bunns but also to experience the oldest house in Bath. The décor was quaint and fitting for the historical period food it was serving.

This visit gets 5 stars as the experience was the full package. From the ambiance to the food. I can still remember the taste of the Sally Lunn Bunn (not so much the scones and tea) but once you have had a Sally Lunn Bunn you will never forget.

I still try and plan trips to Bath just to visit this tea house (as well as the famous spa).

If you are a tea lover you have to come here at least once in your life!
