This week I am reviewing a newly release book by Nadiya Hussain. I have been so excited about this new book as its different from her previous (which I also own). This book is tailored more towards baking rather than cooking in general.
I love this book, there are plenty of great recipes to try, from sweet, savoury to plain desserts. It has something for everyone. In my opinion this book was written for people who love to host (like me), as a lot of the recipes are great for sharing. My favourites include “Chicken, Brie, Cranberry and pink pithivier,” this one is great to have with guests around to share (although I substituted brie with Camembert as I love a stronger cheese).
The “mint choc-chip Nanaimo bars” were also very delectable. Very easy to make and very moreish for those mint and chocolate lovers. This is also great for parties as you can make big batches really easily.
But my all-time favourite so far is “Pepperoni Pull-Apart,” if you love pizza this is one for you. It doesn’t have to be pepperoni. I have used my own ingredients and made my own variations of this. I highly recommend this. Perfect for parties and groups (as well as the pithivier).
I gave this 4 stars, as per my previous reviews I love my baking/cook books to have pictures of everything so I know what to aim for (and can compare how badly mine turn out). This book contains great pictures but not for all the recipes. I have only chosen the recipes with images as I feel more comfortable and confident, I know what the end result will be. But this is my preference and some reviewers might prefer the artistic license. But I prefer to know what I am making first then go crazy with my ideas.

But all in all a great book. I have three of her books in my collection and would highly recommend them. Also love watching her shows on TV, she has a great TV presence and watching how she creates and turns her recipes into something mouth watering. Nadiya holds the country’s love of her Great British Bake Off win years ago and continues to shine. Cannot wait to see what else she creates.
